With over 200 young environmentalists (15 to 24 years) and 800 children (under 15) from around the world. The TICYC seek to advance a collective action of young people to the environment and the success of the Copenhagen conference which will decide the post-Kyoto.

Unitearth will be represented by Diego Le Gallou and Céline Moses. Together we seek to advance the debate and find ways of action that allows for better synergy between UNEP, young environmentalists and international civil society for strong commitment to the Copenhagen conference.

We have shown our willingness to support and develop the involvement of young people around the world in environmental challenges

Our methodology revolves around three steps:
* We look at the needs of young environmentalist organizations and assess the way we can offer them relevant solutions.
* We develop a series of tools (solutions 1.0) that we can easily share and which has real utility for the players, and a common framework of values and format of interaction promoting the player exchange between our different partners.
* We create a partnership (alpha partenrship) designed to support the development of our partners and ensure their commitment. This partnership should not strain the capacity of Unitearth to propose new solutions.

All the way through ages, water-related problems have been one of the greatest challenges facing humanity. Following a UN survey on the important issues for the 21st century water ranks second. Following this premise, it can be said that prospects for human development are endangered by an intensified global water crisis.

The 5th World Water Forum thus aims to bring more to the world than merely ideas and debate amongst water experts; it aims to bring the world to Istanbul to improve our understanding of divergent points of view and allow us to share solutions.

Taking action is manifold. Every segment of society is responsible for the effective management of water issues. Inspired by the idea that youth should be accepted as partners for development, helping to chart a united course and shaping the expectations for everyone, many students and young water professionals are vying for being representatives of water awareness. Young people that are either affiliated with NGOs or student clubs or not tied to any organization or company, have creative ideas and are ready for making a difference. Thus in order to intone a strong voice in the water issues, active participation of youth is crucial. It is crucial that YOU(TH) participate!

To qualify for the UNEP Internship Programme, the following conditions must
be met:
1. Applicants must be enrolled in a degree programme in a graduate school (second university degree or higher) both at the time of application and during the internship or applicants pursuing their studies in countries where higher education is not divided into undergraduate and graduate stages must have completed at least four years of full‐time studies at a university or equivalent institution towards the completion of a degree.

• World Water Youth Forum 2009

REACH OUT, SPEAK UP!

The Ignite Change Now! Global Youth Assembly 2009 (GYA) is a vibrant social forum for 1000 Canadian and international youth between the ages of 16-28 to learn about and promote human rights and sustainable communities.

From July 30th-August 2nd, 2009, youth will come together for four days of world-class keynotes, interactive workshops and break-outs, a hip hip summit, soccer tournament and more. The GYA 2009 will focus on bridging diversity and strengthening youth capacity to become active members in their communities.

The GYA 2009 is seeking dynamic people to present workshops and creative breakouts that will support the various objectives of the Assembly and support the development of youth action. The deadline for proposal submission is March 15, 2009.

We want young leaders who will implement plans, motivate others to join them and make a real difference in their fields.
Participants in the Training Workshop are expected to:
1. Inform and inspire others about their countries, with their views on Climate Security

Participants are asked to bring with them a presentation and/or video to represent a climate solution project that they have been involved in or are interested in starting. Participants will be invited to make a 5-minute presentation to the rest of the group. No specific format is specified, but projection facilities for Power Point will be available)

2. Contribute actively in the workshop process with their thoughts, ideas, knowledge and experience

3. Develop their project idea during the workshop into a proposal for implementation

4. Make a commitment to engage in project work and the Climate Cool network after their return to their country.
