- For candidates to be considered their birthdates must fall strictly between 26 August 1985 and 21 August 1994 .
- Candidates must be nominated by their organizations and must be active members.
Only nominations from organizations working on or interested in environmental and sustainable development issues will be considered.

With over 200 young environmentalists (15 to 24 years) and 800 children (under 15) from around the world. The TICYC seek to advance a collective action of young people to the environment and the success of the Copenhagen conference which will decide the post-Kyoto.
In 0.9 version, launched in early February 2009, Unitearth focused its information on opportunities given to young players in sustainable development to improve their knowledge and work capacity.
